There is Always Something New Happening at Kitchen Kettle Village!
Come explore Kitchen Kettle Village this spring and summer and see what is new in our Village of over 40 unique shops, restaurants & lodging.
Honestly, when I came to work here over 20 years ago I figured I would only be here until my son went to kindergarten. In my mind, what could keep me hooked for over five years? Now, I am working on two decades! It is the people (who are like family), the constant pursuit to enhance our Village (and create new experiences), and the fact that they let me call myself the Director of Fun, that keeps me coming back day after day & year after year. Did I mention they left me build a float for the Rhubarb Festival…now that was fun!
New to the Village this spring is Perfect Pots who replaced Ken’s Gardens. Perfect Pots creates amazing container gardens, as well as sells plants and has a fun Party Zone area that offers classes and parties. Click here and check out their upcoming events. Perfect Pots creates four season’s container gardens and will come to your home or business within a two hour radius of their shop at Kitchen Kettle Village. Gardening just got a whole lot easier and more fun!
Heritage Gallery Outdoor Art is also new to the Village and is located near Paw Prints and Girls Day Out. It features outdoor aluminum plaques finished with a long lasting UV coating, iron holders, as well as framed prints of original artwork all to decorate your outdoor living space.
We have moved a few shops around, including bringing Make-A-Friend Workshop from the parking lot to be tucked beside the Olive Basin and Wash Pin Pals. Kids can make a doll or a wooden toy, then stroll over to Lapp Valley Farms for a delicious scoop (or two) of ice cream made on Lapp’s farm from their jersey cows. It really is the best ice cream around! I highly recommend the coconut or peanut butter ripple.
The Deerskin Leather Shop received a major facelift to their exterior and the new logo will be painted on the outside wall within the next week. Like I said, we like to keep things interesting in the Village. And it makes my job easier…always having something new and fun to talk about!
And I almost forgot our Spring Fling Shopping Package. It is just $20 (before taxes) and a great way to explore the Village. It includes lunch at the Kling House, along with some special gifts from shops like the Jam & Relish Kitchen Village Quilts, Waltz Vineyards and the list goes on. Don’t delay…this special package has a $40 retail value and expires on June 30th, 2017.
What are you waiting for? Grab a few friends and head out to Kitchen Kettle Village for the day or the night. We also just renovated Strawberry Street room 101 and added a relaxing patio area for all the Strawberry Street guests to enjoy. Come for a short visit or stay a few days, but most of all…have fun shopping, tasting and enjoying our Village.
