It’s Spring, Finally!
April showers may bring May flowers, but this year April sunshine is bringing lots of wonderful guests to Kitchen Kettle Village in Lancaster County. And the shops at Kitchen Kettle are ready for them. It’s true, we operational retail folks take a little break in the wintertime but by mid-February we’ve finished deep-cleaning displays and Inn rooms, shopped the trade shows for new merchandise, tasted new products they’re figuring on serving this year in The Kling House Restaurant and the receiving department is filled to the limit at this point.
It’s almost like Christmas! Opening packages of all kinds of new inventory and then finding the right color paint to make it pop. Surprises everywhere – it’s hard to remember all the new things you bought at a show or the details of your search for recipes that go with or are made with our favorite Kitchen Kettle Jam – Strawberry Balsamic for instance.
Then there’s the remodeled stores that are just about ready. Aged and Cured tops the list this year. You may remember it as the Smokehouse Shop – meats and cheeses everywhere. Those of you who bravely jammed into that store with so very little room in years past will be very happy to hear that we’ve doubled the size of it. And it has a new name – Aged and Cured. Get it? Aged Cheese and Cured Meat. Don’t miss the new store. It’s gorgeous and full of new things that relate to meat and cheese as well as the real thing.
So plan your trip. Or jump in your car. We’re ready for you. Spend the afternoon, spend the day or spend the night. Find out about Lancaster County’s best kept secret – springtime. The fields are being planted, the sun is shining and the crowds haven’t yet arrived.
See you soon!
