I can bring home the bacon…and fry it up in a pan!
Actually, I don’t even need to fry it up. I can just come to the Kitchen Kettle Village Tailgating Festival this weekend! The MVP of all the tailgating foods is bacon. I can get my fill of bacon and so much more this Friday, 9/14 and Saturday, 9/15. There will be bacon and guacamole tacos from the Harvest Café, bacon brittle from Pepper Lane Fudge, bacon cheddar cornbread from the Bake Shop, a housemade bacon caramelized onion scone topped with two poached eggs and cheese sauce from the Kling House, bacon caramel corn from Pappy’s Kettle Korn, just to name a few of the delicious items.
Here at Kitchen Kettle Village we kick-off the fall season with a Tailgating Festival – this year with a focus on bacon! It is two days filled with sports fun, food, bacon, pig scarecrows, a parade and new this year – a Corn Hole Tournament on Saturday with a top prize of $100 in cash and a trophy. Click here to register and for all the details!
Village shops compete in a scarecrow contest that offers a top prize of $200! This year the scarecrows must be of pigs or bacon to complement our bacon theme. Think Porky the Pig, Miss Piggy, Three Little Pigs, Piglet…and the list goes on.
And don’t forget the live music and special tribute to Banjo Jimmy on Saturday, September 15th from 1:30-3:30pm. What are you waiting for? Put on your favorite team jersey, hop in the car and make the drive out to Lancaster County and visit the Village on September 14th or 15th. You’ll find great entertainment, tantalizing treats, friendly employees and awesome activities that will make you the MVP of your family & friends (or whoever you brought with you on your fun adventure)!
