Easy Last Minute Memorial Day Recipes from Kitchen Kettle Village

Memorial Day is upon us and, for me, that means the beginning of summer activities. I enjoy tending my raised beds, seeing my flowers grow and bloom and taking care of them; in general, just being outside.

Entertaining is also a big part of summer for me – the more the merrier. I enjoy trying new foods, decorating for the gathering and the like. Just this past weekend my children, their spouses, and the grandson were here for the weekend. I did

something I usually never do – primarily because I do consider myself a good cook and like to cook for my family. I bought dessert for the Saturday evening meal! Everyone enjoyed it and it allowed me more time with the family, which was absolutely delightful. Luckily for me, my daughter lives nearby; however, the sons are 45 minutes and 2-1/2 hours away.

Bacon Cheddar Burger or the Best Turkey Burgers Ever along with Baked Beans (I’ll doctor a can of baked beans with some Kitchen Kettle Horseradish Mustard and bacon). I must make Red Beet Eggs with Kitchen Kettle Pickled Beets, something to snack on until the burgers are grilled, and maybe angel food cake with fresh berries soaked in our Olive Basin Chocolate Balsamic and whipped cream. Oh, don’t forget the pickles – Kitchen Kettle has seven varieties from which to choose!
