Another year into the books. It’s hard to believe that it has been over 60 years since Bob’s passion for having his own business took him to Mechanicsburg to buy a jelly business. Little did we know that it would grow into a third generation family business of shops, restaurants, lodging and fun – well, mostly fun.

I only get to Kitchen Kettle one or two days a week. And truth be told, they’re half days at best. But I look forward to connecting. To seeing my children and grandchildren in their offices, to sharing lunch with a few of them when they can, to greeting guests in the Jam & Relish Kitchen or at the Information Booth, and even to getting my bills paid since I can’t seem to move my desk to my apartment.

My husband, Charlie, very kindly continues to bring me down to the office so I can make those connections. He knows how important they are to me.

So happy new year everyone! I’ll expect to see you sometime in 2016 while you’re visiting us at the Village. Your shining faces continue to make me smile.
